In a world fraught with natural disasters and human conflict, many people lack basic necessities—even clothes and shoes. To address this, the Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB) reported that approximately 1,100 volunteers signed up this year. This group included residents from other cities, many who have volunteered for three consecutive years, and devoted locals from Tainan’s North District who rallied their neighbors to donate, turning compassion into concrete action.
Our leadership specifically encouraged everyone to step away from their workstations and participate in volunteer service to experience the joy of "keeping one's palms facing downward" (the act of giving). To put this philosophy into practice, the Plant Manager led colleagues to experience firsthand that "it is more blessed to give than to receive."
This was more than just a charity event; it was a transformation of life perspectives. When we turn our palms downward to support those in greater need, we realize that our professional skills, physical energy, and even a simple smile possess the power to change the world. This sense of "inner abundance" serves as a powerful remedy for the anxieties and feelings of "scarcity" often found in professional life.
